Review: This is a wonderful children’s book with a much needed message about friendships. This book tells of the different animals who are friends with animals of a different species and how their differences make their friendship work. A giraffe being friends with a mouse seems far-fetched, but in this book the giraffe helps the mouse to reach food he couldn’t without him. It shows that our differences can truly bring us closer together and we can bring out the best in each other.
This is a board book making it more durable and perfect for little hands who want to “read” it themselves. The illustrations are fantastic and ideal for little ones. This book brings up the message of diversity but using animals instead of people to make it easier for kids. What kid doesn’t love cute little animals?
Recommendation: I would recommend this for any child. This is an easy and happy way to get them thinking about this important topic in a brilliantly childlike way.
