Safe Harbour

Safe Harbour by Danielle Steel is a book about a mother and daughter who are distraught with grief after a plane accident killed Ophélie’s husband and son. After she slips into a deep depression they spend the summer at the beach where eleven year old Pip soon befriends a lonely Matt who desperately misses his children after his bitter divorce and the ex-wife who moved his children across the world and cut him off from them. What neither Matt nor Ophélie expected was the friendship and healing they could bring to each other.

This is a wonderful book that shows the power of friendship, love and the beach. Definitely a wonderful read that will leave you rooting for the entire family. Danielle Steel painted these characters so wonderfully that you soon forget they are not part of your everyday life. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone.
